A Little More About Me
I grew up in Massachusetts and have called Northern Nevada home for 27 years. My husband, Frank, and I have three grown sons, Frankie, Reese and Lucas. My family is the center of my life, and spending time together is what I value most. Outside of family and work, I enjoy gardening, watching birds and wildlife, and photography.
Photography has become one of my favorite ways to experience Northern Nevada. I especially enjoy photographing the area’s vistas and skylines at sunrise and twilight. Sand Harbor early in the morning, before the crowds arrive, is one of my favorite places. I am happiest anywhere quiet and peaceful where I can appreciate the scenery and wildlife.
I also enjoy the Rib Cook Off in Sparks, the hot air balloons in Reno and visiting the wine country in Napa and Sonoma. When we have the opportunity to get away, Frank and I enjoy spending time at our condo in Hawaii.
The same curiosity, persistence and attention to detail that shape my interests also influence how I work. My business motto is, “Do what others won’t do, and the money will follow.” To me, that means doing the research, answering the phone, communicating clearly and taking responsibility for the details others may overlook. Clients often tell me, “Wow, that was fast,” because I almost always answer my phone, and when I cannot, I respond within minutes.
I also love to teach. Education is one of my strongest skills, whether I am helping a client understand a real estate decision or helping another REALTOR® improve their business. I maintain an open-door policy at my office because I believe how one REALTOR® conducts business reflects on all of us.
Experience and Specialized Training
Joanne holds the ABR®, CRS®, SRES® and MRP professional designations and is also a Certified Relocation Specialist, New Construction Specialist and Certified Probate Specialist. Her specialized training supports buyers and sellers through relocation, new construction, first-time purchases, downsizing, probate and estate sales, and other major life transitions.
Local Expertise That Changes Decisions
Joanne tracks the local details that often influence a real estate decision, including traffic patterns, road and infrastructure projects, new construction, commute routes, utilities, flood zones, wildfire exposure and neighborhood development. For sellers, she combines MLS and county assessor data to create accurate valuations, identify the home’s strongest advantages and position resale properties effectively against new construction.
A Reputation Built on Service and Results
Joanne’s five star reviews on Google, Zillow and other real estate platforms reflect the qualities clients value most: honest communication, detailed preparation, strong negotiation and a willingness to do more than expected. Much of her business comes from repeat clients and referrals, demonstrating the trust she continues to earn throughout Northern Nevada.
